About Me

Wessel Wessels

Hi, my name is Wessel Wessels. (Yes seriously. I guess my parents had a good sense of humor)

My love and passion for all things sound and audio recording related, started in the 1980's in my early teens when I manage to build a homemade intercom/audio system to me friend, living a few 100 yards up the street, using a dismantled handheld radio/tape-deck, a remote speaker and very long cable.

Since them my passion just grew, with my first proper hi-fi build up with Nad and Marantz components and Cervin Vega speakers in the early 1990's.

I started venturing in the recording hemisphere later on, dabbling with some video recording as well, but my biggest passion remains audio recording.

With experience of almost 30 years, being involved with audio recording at various levels, I sometimes had to learn the hard way how things were supposed to be done correctly.

In this constantly changing industry, I am constantly researching the latest developments and see how it can be relevant to the different specific niche areas of recording, especially to the home recording studio.

My goal is to share my knowledge and help you start and build up your home recording studio. Then, as you start expanding I will do my best to share additional information about what is available, which route is the best to take and also have a closer look at specific peripherals and accessories.

I don't claim to know everything and I am still learning new things every day, so as I learn and found better ways of doing things or new equipment and trends appear, I will update and share this with you.

I hope I can help you on your journey, and really start enjoying the satisfaction and pleasure of using your own home recording studio.

Wessel
